Greetings Homebuyers,

I hope you have survived this record breaking winter. We’ve seen a lot of people who are ready to move in to a fabulous McKee community where all the shoveling and snow plowing are done for you! This winter also reinforced my belief in a well-insulated energy efficient home which I’m sure many of you with high energy bills can attest to.

This is a perfect opportunity to talk about our Energy-Star Certified Green Homes in the tax-friendly state of Delaware. All McKee homes in Delaware go through a third party verification to ensure the building envelope is nice and tight. A great example of this is The Courtyards at Brandywine in Northern Wilmington where our insulation blows the competition away with R-38 in the ceilings and R-19 for all exterior walls. On top of that we use energy star rated appliances to keep utility costs down. Our quality carriage homes also feature 2” x 6” framing on exterior walls, allowing for even more of that high rated insulation.
