Hello Sunshine! You have no idea how
excited we are to see you after this winter!
I want to start this blog
entry with a big congrats to my sister Jennifer on the birth of her beautiful
baby boy. My name is Frank McKee Jr. and I will be taking over Jenni's
blog while she is out on maternity leave.
Let's kick things
off with some insider info on the lifestyle opportunities that a McKee
community offers. When you live in a McKee home, there is no
shortage of activities available to keep you lively and entertained during
these summer months. Don’t forget to check out the many recreational activities
offered in our neighborhoods and in the surrounding areas.
Residents of The
Courtyards at Brandywine can find themselves enjoying a great workout at the
local YMCA, go for a stroll through the tranquil Brandywine Creek State Park,
or tee up for a game of golf at the Brandywine Country Club. Don’t forget to
take advantage of the many shopping and dining destinations in the surrounding
area as well!
Spring Arbor
residents can find themselves taking advantage of many activities offered at
the community. They can enjoy the exercise classes at the fitness center, pool
parties in the heated pool, partake in a game of bocce, or go for a stroll on
one of the walking trails! Residents who wish to socialize with wonderful,
active people can partake in book club, Ladies Lunch and Movie, billiards, day
trips, and so much more!
Residents at
Champions’ Club can take full advantage of the heated outdoor pool, tennis
courts, walking trails, bocce courts, and Johnathan’s Landing Golf Course!
Champions’ Club residents can also venture out into the local area and enjoy
shopping, fine dining, First Heritage State Park, Dover’s Historic District and
much more!
Cecil Wood’s
Residents can utilize the exercise center and games at the clubhouse, fishing,
crabbing, boating, and other aquatic activities on the Chesapeake Bay.
Residents can also enjoy the local historic district and three golf courses
located within 10 miles of Cecil Woods. Enthusiasts of the arts can find
themselves enjoying the Millburn Stone Theater and the Cecil College Cultural
Center.
Our newest
community, The Preserve at Lamplighter, is patiently awaiting the completion of
their clubhouse. However, that doesn’t
mean there is boredom to be found there!
Residents have already started the social committee and are planning
great trips to ball games, local museums in Bucks County and even down to
Nemours in Delaware. Lamplighter also
offers 4 golf courses and pretty much every store you would want to shop at
within a 10 minute drive.
Enjoy this beautiful
weather and don’t forget to stay hydrated!
